Wedding Ceiling Installation Technician

 

The Cotswold Wedding Company is a busy wedding styling company with an excellent reputation for high quality work and reliability.

​

We work with a large number of wedding venues across the Cotswolds and the South West, many of which recommend us to their couples. 

​

We specialise in delivering high-quality wedding decor, including ceiling installations, and in providing peace of mind to our couples and venues.

​

We are looking for the right person to join our dedicated team and provide the same first-class service we have built our reputation on.

​

Responsibilities include:

  • Working in the unit to prepare decor items for upcoming weddings

  • Travelling to wedding venues to set up, which will include installing large ceiling installations, using our A-frame ladders, and other wedding decor items such as table decorations and chair sashes - see our website www.cotswoldweddingco.com for examples of our work

  • Travelling to wedding venues to take down and collect decor items, including working at height

  • Working towards a strict deadline so that all decor items and installations are completed on time and to the highest standard

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working at height and lifting heavy objects

  • To be available to work weekends and early mornings as required

 

Skills/ Experience:

  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and prolonged time on your feet

  • Confident working at height

  • Experience is desirable but not essential, as we are committed to providing comprehensive training

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Experience driving vans is desirable but not essential, van specific training will be provided

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Calm under pressure with the ability to multitask

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to communicate effectively with team members, venue staff and couples 

  • Ability to solve problems calmly whilst under a time constraint

  • Able to think on your feet, with a can-do attitude

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Confidence to put forward new ideas and challenge the status quo in order for the business to become more effective and efficient

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually

We have a track record of training employees with no experience to become highly experienced and autonomous members of the team.

​

There will be opportunities for CPD, either building on a current skill set or learning new skills. We are happy to discuss the best options for you.

Starting Salary - £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.
